GMC Chartered Accountants were established in 1994 and are based in Bedale North Yorkshire. The company provides professional accountancy and business services to a wide range of clients including: the professions, the service sector, the construction industry, manufacturers and retailers.

Bluestone Solutions Limited has supported GMC Chartered Accountants for some time ensuring their business critical systems have remained available and recoverable when needed. Although the site was running on older technology of a Windows 2000 server and Windows 98 workstations, this infrastructure had served the company reliably over the years.
A complete server and workstation upgrade was implemented to Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP Professional Workstations. The upgrade of the hardware and migration of the various software packages that the company use on a daily basis was seamless. The detailed planning and execution of the upgrade and migration meant that GMC Chartered Accountants had virtually no downtime and the employees didn’t notice any impact on their working routines.
We continue our close relationship with GMC Chartered Accountants on a regular basis, providing remote administration and ongoing support with regular visits to their premises. We proactively monitor their server and network to ensure that the system is running as smoothly as possible, we aim to diagnose and resolve any issues before they have an impact on the system.
"As a firm, we are extremely committed to IT and totally dependant on our systems. Every task we perform utilises specialist software and we increasingly store and send data electronically.
Bluestone Solutions Limited have provided on site support, promptly and efficiently. When a major hardware upgrade was required this was planned and organised to suit our working patterns, and carried out with minimal disruption. We utilise remote support to ensure our systems are monitored and updated frequently.
We need reliability and security, and that is exactly what we get."

+Network security
Hacking is a problem that all networks face. Often servers which maintain the default configuration have security flaws that could be used by hackers to gain access to your network.
